1. When is BlackAmericana Fest?

BlackAmericana Fest will take place on September 26th and 27th, 2025.

2. Where is the festival being held?

The Broadside and Broad Theater, located in the heart of New Orleans near the Lafitte Greenway 600 N. Broad St. New Orleans, LA 70119.

3. How should I get to the festival?

We encourage you to walk or bike via the Lafitte Greenway! Street parking is very limited, and we’ll have a free bike valet on-site. Carpool, rideshare, or transit are also great options.

4. Is the festival family-friendly?

Yes! BlackAmericana Fest is an all-ages, family-friendly event. We’ll have kids’ activities throughout the weekend, and children under 11 get in free.

5. What kind of music will I hear?

Expect powerful performances rooted in Americana, folk, country, soul, gospel, and genre-defying sounds that honor Black musical traditions past, present, and future.

6. What does my ticket include?

Depending on your ticket type, you’ll have access to: All festival stages and performances The Roots of Rhythm panel series Food and craft vendor areas VIP perks (if purchased), including lounge access and drink tickets

7. Are there community tickets available?

Yes! We offer a limited number of community-priced tickets to help ensure access for all. We believe music and culture should be shared, not gated.

8. Is the venue accessible?

Yes. Both The Broadside and Broad Theater are wheelchair accessible, and we are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive space for all attendees. If you have specific accessibility needs, please reach out to us in advance.

9. Will food and drinks be available?

Absolutely! We’ll have local food vendors serving up delicious eats and drinks, including vegetarian and vegan options.

10. Can I bring my dog/child/chair/etc.?

Kids? Yes! And remember—11 and under are free. Dogs? Only service animals are allowed. Chairs or blankets? Sure! For The Broadside lawn shows, feel free to bring a blanket or low-rise chair for extra comfort.

11. Why isn’t the festival free this year like last year?

Last year’s festival was free thanks to generous grant support. As we grow and the funding landscape shifts, we’re asking our community to help sustain this work. We’ve kept ticket prices accessible, and offer community tickets to ensure no one is turned away.
